For affordable dental implants in Scranton, PA come to Dental Associates of NEPA Dr. David Shemo DMD. We provide state-of-the-art fully guided dental implants, the latest evolution in medical care. Not sure what fully guided dental implants are? You are not alone. Many people who could benefit from this excellent service haven't heard of it or the extensive benefits associated with it.

Fully guided dental implants are like traditional implants, but we incorporate digital x-ray imaging, virtual models, and printed surgical guides that help us put your implant in place with a major reduction in the amount of surgery needed.
Since we have to do less surgery, the procedure is safer for you and reduces your healing time. In many cases, we're able to install the implant and put a crown on it in one day. In the past, it could take months between multiple sessions to have your implants completed fully. To learn more about fully guided dental implants, please call Dental Associates of NEPA Dr. David Shemo DMD to schedule a consultation.
Fully guided dental implants use the very latest in computer modeling to improve the process of putting the implant in place. When we as dental professionals know more about the specific patient that we are working with and the unique procedure that will take place, the entire process runs significantly smoother.

In a traditional implant, we'd need to access your jawbone by making a flap in your gums or removing the gums from the bone. That would let us see where the implant would go. This is not the case with fully guided implants.
With fully guided implants, we use a cone beam scan (CBCT-Scan) to create a 3D image of your teeth and the adjacent bone. With that data, we print a model of your mouth. We use that model to plan your surgery and create a guide for our drill.
By using the drill guide, we can precisely implant the titanium post into your jawbone. in many cases, we don't need to cut into the gum tissues at all. The process is more predictable, and it limits the possibility of error or infection. It requires fewer visits to our office, fewer procedures, and less healing time. Overall, it's a major improvement in the way we provide dental care. We are happy that we can use this technology to provide our patients with a quick and comfortable recovery.
If you need a dental implant, or have questions about the process of receiving our affordable dental implants in Scranton, PA, then please do not hesitate to call Dental Associates of NEPA Dr. David Shemo DMD for a consultation about using fully guided techniques.
